Celestial Objects to Step Foot On

1. The Moon.
2. Mars.
3. (One at a time, boys.)

I was just reading on Wikipedia that when Gene Roddenberry was creating the character of Spock, he did not want him to a Martian [from Mars] because he thought that if Star Trek was success, humans might actually walk on Mars during the series’ run.

43 years later and still no luck.

But seeing as a new Trek movie came out and completely rebooted the franchise after it almost completely dropped off the radar, it is quite possible that Roddenberry’s hunch was right.

I don’t know how long it will be before humans will step foot onto Mars. And I’m not one to guess either.

Maybe the spacecraft that sends us to Mars can be called The Roddenberry.

Just a thought.

Today I got a letter from MCTC letting me know that I am missing one required credit in order to transfer to the U of M.

It’s not the best news to get. A couple weeks ago I talked with a counselor to see if I already fulfilled all my requirements in order to transfer. She told me yes, that I have fulfilled my credits.

Now, I get to find a spot within my already established class schedule to put this class. I have to find a class that fulfills the requirement, a class that hasn’t already been filled by other students, and a class that at least interests me a little bit. Good luck to me!

Yesterday, my older brother finally moved into an apartment with friends. My twin had already moved out a few days ago. Today, my parents drove my sister back to college in Wisconsin and are staying the night. I have been home alone all day. My friends have all moved out for college or are out of town. Some of my friends are starting college for the first time, I wish them luck.

Most of my day was spent updating and installing software onto my new MacBook Pro I bought just last week, as well as looking up apps for my new iPod Touch. Since I downloaded an app for Tumblr, I thought I’d make an account. So here I am, blogging (Tumbling?).
